Creating Createfulness

My creative inclinations are no longer hobbies. It is clear to me that expressing myself through art and prose has become as crucial to my survival as breathing air, or filling in my over-plucked eyebrows every day.  Figuring out just how this page is going to work will take a lot of time and effort, so please bear with me, but I'm so excited to have an adult space (GOOD BYE TUMBLR) where I can focus on honouring the joyful mess that lives inside me.

As far as content goes, I will post my original poetry and visual art; that much I know for sure. However, I'm also interested in writing personal pieces on topics that touch my heart and challenge my thinker. I'm still deciding how I want to do that exactly. These views might get expressed in an editorial way (which I must admit intimidates me, as I'm not super keen on flame wars. "Not super keen on" meaning, totally effing scared of, just to be clear). Despite being jittery about potential disagreements, voicing my opinions in a compassionate way feels urgent to me somehow at this point in my life. I hope that whatever our varying opinions may be that Createfulness will inspire kind and thoughtful discussions. I consider myself to be a open-minded, and open-hearted person, and I enthusiastically welcome others to feel safe being themselves here. That being said, if you diss Hanson (yes, of MMMBOP fame), I WILL throw down. Without hesitation or shame.
